OBMS & RMS National Junior Honor Societies hold Thunderbird Trivia Throwdown

On March 24, the National Junior Honor Societies from Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School and Ronkonkoma Middle School came together to host their second annual Thunderbird Trivia Throwdown. Honor society students from both schools put their knowledge to the test, tackling challenging questions across six exciting categories: arts and entertainment, science, technology, history and geography, food and sports.
The competition was both intense and entertaining, with teams battling closely through each round. In a hard-fought and well-deserved victory, the OBMS Junior Honor Society team, The Trivia Titans, claimed the championship title for the evening.
In addition to the spirited competition, the event also made a meaningful impact on the community. Admission was a donation of non-perishable food items to benefit the Connetquot High School food pantry. Thanks to the generosity of all who attended, four full boxes of food were collected to support local families in need.
The evening was filled with teamwork and generosity—a true reflection of the honor society’s values of scholarship, service and community.
